Having won 1st place in the Indian Valley Soap Box Derby, held June 7th, 2008; Pace Supply Corp. sponsored Soap Box Derby Racer Amanda Slook Heads to the 71st All-American Soap Box Derby World Championships in Akron, Ohio beginning July 21st.
It all started some years back when our owner, Al Edwards decided to build a Soap Box car for his grand-daughter. As everyone at Pace knows, Al has a weak spot for anything that has flames, goes fast, or looks like it might. After several years of racing, the car was about to be retired, when Al was approached by the Souderton area Soap Box organization. They asked if he would like to sponsor a car and he agreed. Amanda & Madalyn Slooks father bulit a second car and the rest is history.
We wish Amanda much luck this weekend.
