Innovative products and on time service are two very good reasons why Everlast is one of the only major steel roofing and siding manufacturers in the nation that is growing, One of the secrets to Everlast's success seems to be their unique proprietary heat form™ process. Few others in the nation even attempt to heat form™.
Everlast rolls their steel at high temperatures to prevent their coatings such as paint from microscopic cracking at the bends. If you look at the bends of a panel with a 40-power magnifier you'll notice very visible cracks in the paint if it is not hot formed, unless softer less scratch resistant paints were used.
Everlast uses harder paints so their panels don't scratch as easy as other brands using the softer paints. During erection the softer paints get scratched more easily, walking on the roof, debris from storms flying against it, sliding snow and ice, & leaning ladders are all reasons for harder paint systems. Scratches in the paint will cause early failure.
Another thing Everlast has done is use a lot more galvanizing on their Everlast panels than what most of their competitors do.
They also use zinc phosphate to make their paints adhere better, use more bends in their board and batten design to make it significantly stronger, more attractive, and withstand greater snow and wind loads, and they use heavier and stronger steel on their metal roofing and siding.
